It may sound superficial, but at first what I like the most about RegClean is its interface. The designers have made an excellent choice of colors, fonts and layout and the developers have done an excellent job in putting together so many tasks related to optimizing the Registry. All of this make it easy for you to find the desired function as main features have been hierarchically organized in button-like tabs.
The software offers PC scanning and allows you to select the areas. By default, which means all the options are selected, RegClean searches for problems in ActiveX, OLE and COM, application paths, startup up items, system services, drivers, file associations, user settings and shortcuts, among others.
It is just fair to say that when I scanned my system using RegClean, the software detected 926 errors even after running scans with similar software.
Other capabilities includes restoring backups of the Registry and Registry defragmentating and compression. Finally, this software lets you manage Windows startup, enabling you to choose those applications that you want to start along with the system.
By the way, it is compatible with Windows major versions.
